This is outrageously different from the Bruno Mars/Lloyd version. I mean the guitar is somewhere in there but it stuck behind some reverb claps and these crazy laser sounds. It sounds like someone was messing with the settings on their new Casio. It's possibly the original to Bruno and Lloyd's rendition which in this case serves as a cool stripped down remix. Hal's rough and sexy voice is equally matched. He's signed to Universal/Motwon and The Rock & Roll Experiment EP was released this spring including this more club-friendly version, so it's just a bit more dance oriented—lasers are for raging. Hal's performance on this song is spot on. We had a chance to see him live at a showcase a year ago and we know for fact that he probably murders this on stage. There's definitely a bit more power behind his delivery which we enjoy. Either way there's room enough in the Suite903 for all of you boys. We begin dancing at 6 AM. Feel free to stop by.
