One of the newer stages at Bonnaroo this year was a Latin-centric performance stage called "Latino Alternativo," including performances by Los Amigos Invisibles, Nortec Collective, Bomba Estereo, and Mexican Institute of Sound. We had the pleasure of sitting down with Nortec Collective after spending much of the day at the Budweiser Troo Music Lounge, another notable stage on the grounds of Bonnaroo. Nortec Collective are about to kick off a huge summer—they're touring the world and taking their good vibes as far as China. Coincidentally, their song "Tijuana Makes Me Happy" was part of the soundtrack at the 2006 FIFA World Cup Games. So it all kinda comes full circle.
