The Morning After: Aloe Blacc, "Loving You Is Killing Me" on Le Grand Journal

Check in with us daily to see Suite903 artists take over TV. Today we’re watching Aloe Blacc on Le Grand Journal.

While we're in re-runs of How to Make it in America, Aloe Blacc the man behind the opening theme song of the HBO sitcom is making it in Europe. Paris was priveleged to get a live preview of his new single from his next album, Good Things on Le Grand Journal. Staying true to the old school of soul pioneers like Curtis Mayfield and Al Green, his performance of his single from Good Things was stylish like the golden era of Soul Train. His buttoned-down shirt, blazer combo was sharp and psychedelic like a trip through Reverend Al's wardrobe from the early-to-mid '70s. Expect the same type of versatility he's shown on his slept-on classic, Shine Through because the Truth & Soul team is producing his next LP due this September.
