The Morning After: The Roots f. Monsters of Folk, "Dear God 2.0" on Jimmy Fallon

Check in with us daily to see Suite903 artists take over TV. Today we’re watching The Roots perform “Dear God 2.0” on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Night in, night out, The Roots grace NBC's late night block playing anything from funny intros for guests, to Tariq Trotter's brainstorm of thoughtful raps. Having kept their record label ties to Def Jam, performing their own (new) material wasn't a matter of time, it was a matter of how. For their first masterpiece single, "Dear God 2.0." Philadelphia's finest invited Jim James from Monsters of Folk to join them along with a full-on string orchestra (including harp), and backup singers to give the audience a refreshing look at their musical range. You'll wish you were there.
