Video: Harlem, “Someday Soon”

June 24, 2010

Harlem make barely being able to hold it together sound wildly attractive. Their songs are deceptively ramshackle in a way that makes you think they don't care, until you realize you've got their choruses stuck in your head in a way that can only mean they actually secretly care a lot about the music they're making. This video only amplifies that notion— directed by Aaron Brown and Ben Chappel aka Focus Creeps—it's a good reminder that when you go on tour, aka play your own music to crowds of varying sizes nonstop for multiple nerve wracking months, you kind of have to just let it all go. Looking over what we just wrote, it sounds like we're saying Harlem went on tour, made a video and literally went crazy. Maybe that happened, but more likely they just played a bunch of shows and then lit fireworks off inside someone's house. They're going back out on tour with The Dead Weather. Tour dates after the jump. (via Gorilla vs. Bear)
