June 25, 2010

Last night, Jay-Z appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman, during which the host tried to tell Jay that LeBron should stay in Cleveland for the good of the city rather than come to New York to play for the Knicks or the Nets. Now, our Top Ten Things Jay-Z Should've Said to David Letterman Last Night:

10. "Hey Dave, didn't you start your career as a weatherman in your hometown of Indianapolis, Indiana? You should do this show from there for the good of the people."

9. "Hey Dave, Larry Bird, an Indiana native and one of the state's modern folk heroes, was drafted by the Boston Celtics in 1979 and played for the team until his retirement in 1992. During his career, the Celtics reached the NBA Finals five times and won three championships. Over this same period, the Indiana Pacers made the playoffs five times, losing in the first round each time, twice to Bird's Celtics."

8-2. "Are you serious right now?"

1. "We already got Marty Markowitz to change the borough name to LeBronklyn starting on July 4th, which will also now be known as LeBry, LeBrourth, 20LeBron. Marty's also changing his name LeBrony LeBronowitz and I will be known as JayBron. Deal with it. You can have the courtside seat next to B. Just don't look at her and sit on your hands at all times."
