If you don’t remember most great house music songs, it’s probably because the vocals stood out so much, they were all you needed. Shyvonne Sanganoo graced Kingdom’s “Mind Reader” record earlier this year, and it slipped through the cracks until now. Bronx-bred Shyvonne puts her range to the test, having tried her hand at singing over any beat (courtesy of MeLo-X or GFC-NY’s Precize) that could carry her diva-styled vocals. Working on Kingdom’s production, she steals the show the way Crystal Waters, CeCe Peniston and Ya Kid K of Technotronic became fixtures in the late ’80s-early ’90s house scene. Listen after the jump.
