Listen: The Walkmen, "Stranded"

Walkmen

Time travels! Earlier today, a new Interpol track started making the web rounds to somewhat underwhelming effect. To our ears, at least. But The Walkmen, much less star-crossed members of that same, early 00s New York rock class, are also streaming a new song today, one that continues along the upward trend they've been enjoying since You and Me knocked most people flat two years ago. "Stranded" is a New Orleans-inspired, horn-enhanced slow jam from forthcoming new LP, Lisbon, and it's a beauty. They're a rare breed of band, one that's only improved as they've grown older. Hear it over at NPR as soon as you can.
