Video: Gorillaz Live on Sessions

July 12, 2010

This version of Gorillaz' "On Melancholy Hill," live on AOL's Sessions, is sad and sprawling. Not until the very end do the backup singers come in to save Damon Albarn from a bummer of a synth-drive downfall. Maybe this is why they've been cartoons all these years—it's so hard to see (real) grown men cry. But so rewarding when they learn to weep through the song. "On Melancholy Hill" is above and "Rhinestone Eyes," "Broken" and "Glitter Freeze" are after the jump.
