Girls Go From NSFW Videos To Biopics Of Catholic Deacons

The beautiful instrumental track "Curls" from Girls' debut album just received a video treatment, if you can call it that. The FADER posted the video this morning and challenged anyone to name where the clips came from. One astute commenter pointed us toward Brother Sun, Sister Moon, a 1972 St. Francis of Assisi (which is, weirdly enough, on Netflix Instant Play and seems to add up). Wait, what? We remember from our Catholic school days that Francis was the patron saint of animals because dude gave up his lavish lifestyle to hang out with them all the time. Being the patron saint of cute animals nowadays is basically like being the patron saint of YouTube videos. Girls are obviously one of our patron saints of the Internet, so their kinship seems logical enough right?
