The Morning After: N.E.R.D., "Party People" on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Check in with us daily to see Suite903 artists take over TV. Today we're watching N.E.R.D. perform “Party People” on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

N.E.R.D. are original b-boys. With each album, three of their opening singles are linoleum ready. For the next N.E.R.D. release, Nothing, Pharrell, Shae and Chad go back to basics giving a nod to Todd Terry's "Party People" for their own way to direct you to the dancefloor. Digging for forgotten breaks is a winning formula for N.E.R.D. who collected De La Soul, Q-Tip and Common—the Mount Rushmore of the native tongue era—for a remix to "She Wants to Move"; of course they would revisit the Wild Style era again, on "Kill Joy"'s 2008 head spin of "It's Just Begun" by The Jimmy Castor Bunch. Old school, new school need to know this.
