The peculiar and fascinating Spanish ensemble Crystal Fighters look like they want to scrape out your brains and eat them with their hands (see above), but on record they sound more voracious for jungle beats and cheerleading than cerebral cortexes. “In the Summer” is a call to arms for maximum seasonal decadence; on German producer Malente‘s watch, that translates to jabby synths and Spanish guitar, like lying around at a picnic but dreaming about being at spin class (or vice versa).
