We’re still getting familiar with The Illz from New Jerz, but Crocs, bathrobes and park chairs from the dollar store hits too close to home not to post so here it is. The Illz is collaborating with video director Kristopher Rey-Talley on something called the “In Between Video Series,” in which Illz’ new songs are introduced through Rey-Talley’s videos and then simultaneously released on mp3. Our favorite so far is “Turpentine Weed” because it is both fun and makes us believe in a strain of marijuana that can strip layers of residue from the walls of our minds. And as a bonus, here is The Illz and producer Ill Tal’s dedication to Mobb Deep’s “Trife Life”, both of which should be played once a day as long as it’s going to be 90 degrees in New York.

Ill Tal produced the beat for “Turpentine Weed” too
