Interpol Looks Different

Change is afoot! Though the NYC outfit hasn't dressed as sharply/uniformly as they did when they first started reviving post-punk ten years ago, all sorts of shifts were on display as they dropped by The Late Show last night to play new brooder "Barricade" for Mr. David Letterman: David Pajo is now playing bass, Secret Machines' Brandon Curtis is now playing keys, and frontman Paul Banks looks as though he just came back from a vacation in Cartagena. That's a long ways from Manchester. Daniel Kessler looks smart, though, and even if this new stuff hasn't knocked us flat yet, his guitar tones still sound like good steaks taste.
