Maluca, Chinafood Mixtape

August 13, 2010

We keep making Lady Miss Kier comparisons (and who wouldn't after peeping those custom Hood by Air platform Timbalands), but Maluca is hands down New York's reigning deeee-grooviest chica, evoking feelgood '90s party stilo through a melange of influences that's extremely '10s. In other words, she is quintessentially OF this city. On the Chinafood mixtape, mixed by her Mad Decent brethren/ dagger victim Paul Devro, Maluca takes us on a little journey through her favorite past tracks ranging from Dominican gaga music to vogue dip anthems, plus we get a sneak peek of new songs and live show staples we've been dying for in audio form (i.e. "Big Bad Bangs"). This woman's a club diva in the purest sense. Album next, por favor? Tracklist below the jump.
