Video: Bei Maejor, "She Was (A Broken Love Story)"

If this was a Motown musical version of a John Hughes movie this would be the epochal song in which the lead male character well—does exactly what Bei Maejor is doing. The sample of Barry White & the Love Unlimited Orchestra is pretty much perfect for that moment of emotional climax, with all the furious strings of "Love's Theme" in the background. We tried to pay attention but we were so distracted by his outlandish jukebox chain made of Crayola colored diamonds. Does it come with matching quarter pendants for when he wants to get super flashy? We're not sure if Bei's production was added onto Barry's original, but the kid is super-talented enough that we'd believe he did. This is pretty much a verbal screenplay for a teen romantic comedy. We hate to break it to you though Bei: in real life when you run into your high school crush, they're usually overweight from college and it gets super-awkward. Then again YOUR high school crushes are probably stalking you now.
