Video: Sean Garrett f. Yo Gotti and Bun B, “Summer Love”

August 19, 2010

Okay so memory might be a little hazy, but we remember a scene in Slam Dunk Ernest, in which Ernest is walking through an open mall that has approximately zero customers because they maybe couldn't afford that many extras. There is a very good chance we're remembering this wrong—but the point is that it looks cheap, and in a lot of ways is a total precursor to the rap video in 2010, which is made for minimal amounts of money, is usually just a dude standing in front of a car with maybe one or two others hovering around, and is usually only played on the internet. Not like this video is super extravagant or anything, but watching it feels like a flashback to the golden days of Everyone Having Too Much Money And Not Knowing What To Do With It (EHTMMANKWTDWI). Plus, Yo Gotti completely bodies his verse, how that dude is not on every song ever is a mystery to us.
