The Bug f. Flowdan, "Skeng (Autechre Dub RMX)" MP3

If you still have nightmares from The Bug's nasty 2008 anthem "Skeng," consider turning on the lights for the dub remix, now further nastified by dark knights Autechre. The original was an evil warning from a dimly lit alleyway, an attempt to explore how deep and dark dubstep could get without evaporating altogether. But in Autechre's hands, it becomes an aftermath—a sprawling life-vacuum in a basement, where Flowdan's ghostly vocal imprints and the occasional buzz of shorted-out electricity are the only evidence humans ever existed. Unreleased until now, Ninja Tune gifted it to Fact Mag to celebrate the label's 20th anniversary release, Ninja Tune XX. Grab it now from Fact, up for the next 24 hours.
