Maybe it's just a passing result of all the rubbing of elbows with their forebears at Matador at 21 and recent opening gigs for Pavement and Guided by Voices (ongoing), but a more mellowed-out vibe really suits the gang from Times New Viking. Can't imagine it'll last for long, but might as well enjoy it for now. Here's "No Room to Live," a track off of a tour-only seven-inch that's on sale right now. If you've already shelled out for one of those GBV shows, what's an extra few bucks for this?
