Adam Kimmel Makes West Coast-Approved Kicks

As you know, designer Adam Kimmel decided to head out west for some OG inspiration for his Spring/Summer 2011 line. Kimmel transformed a sleepy courtyard in the third arrondissement of Paris into a Los Angeles parking lot replete with low-riders and banging bass for his fashion week presentation. For his first foray into sneakerdom, Kimmel is now releasing six styles that he calls a"refined version of a classic basketball shoe.” Giving a nod to the subdued colors of Los Angeles street style, Kimmel has taken the basketball kicks and gussied them up in Italian leather  and the basic chukka is redone in indigo and black denim. Classy, yes. But still Gansta Boogie-appropriate. Click the jump for more images.
