Actually some of these Malian dudes aren't really that old but it's way more rad to imagine your grampa (if your grampa is perhaps Cuban or Malian) jamming. The first time around, in 1997, Buena Vista Social Club was just the property of the Cubans, selling eight million records. For various reasons, their Malian counterparts were unable to tour and play. But, renewed, they have joined forces for the punnily titled new album AfroCubism and will be touring together. In New York, they'll be hitting Town Hall next week. Check the flyer for that post after the jump and above watch a video of all the dream grampas in the studio. Dudes got chops.
