Video: Fucked Up, “Miss World” (Hole Cover)

This past Sunday, Halloween night, Toronto punkers Fucked Up played a hometown show at The Garrison. Dutiful research tells us they played a set that, in addition to a few of their own, included a parade of early '90s grunge hits. To wit: Pearl Jam's "Even Flow," Nirvana's "In Bloom" and "Breed," Alice in Chains' "Them Bones," and, a throaty take on Temple of the Dog's "Hunger Strike" that Pink Eyes improved by way of his white briefs and a mullet wig. For varying reasons, none of the video accounts of said grunge covers were crisp enough for posting, though the above cover of Hole's "Miss World" definitely is. "I know how it is," says Mr. Eyes before things get going. "We all pretend to like Mudhoney, but we all love Hole." And then every nerd in the room blushes and squints, just before they scream along.
