TGIF News Rally: Keri Hilson is Not Sorry About Being A Small Percentage Of A Freak

December 03, 2010

** Last week at our auntie's house we learned most of the dances from the "Pretty Girl Rock" video with our girl-cousins by watching it over and over. We were thankful for that opportunity to move and talk to someone born after the year 2001 about T.L.C., and then relieved that they didn't get the chance to see Keri's new video with Rick Ross for "The Way You Love Me" while under our supervision. Keri's thoughts on reactions to the video and what more of what happened to her, Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Mavado, and Deerhunter yesterday after the jump!

The video has been pulled from a lot of the places it made the rounds from on Sunday and Monday, but Keri isn't shy about it. She stopped by Hot97 to girl talk with Angie about it, defending the video for its 'story' and to let America know it's possible to be both monogamous and freaky. “Look, sometimes, this is what we want. If I’m in a room and I’m writing from a girl’s perspective, I may be a small percentage of a freak, but I am a freak! There’s a time to be that,” she giggled. “If you’re being real with yourself—I’m not talking about giving it to everybody—I’m in a relationship and I’m saying look, tonight, I don’t want to caress. I want you to f**k me tonight!” You can listen to Keri's full interview with Angie Martinez here.

** Today, Miss Keri is hanging out with Nicki Minaj, taping VH1's Army-themed Divas Live performance at Marine Corps Air Station in California. The show's on Sunday at 9pm. According to these costume sketches, Katy Perry will be wearing a camisole with no pants or panties underneath. (Via Rap-Up)

** Mavado was supposed to have a huge birthday party tomorrow at Coruba Beach Club in Port Henderson, but it's officially canceled. His people secured an police permit before Halloween, but it got revoked last week. Now it looks like nothing can be done, even though Mavado's now out a bunch of money, and this has happened before. ** Deerhunter performed "Helicopter" on Conan last night. It was their first time on one of the channels on television that are free-by antennae. When they were done, Conan asked "Who's cleaning this up?" (Via TBS)
