Director Steven Daniels took the video for Toro y Moi‘s plain-dealing disco roll “Still Sound” in an Take Ivy meets American Public Broadcasting direction. There’s an ambrosial grapefruit tight shot, a parade of nostalgic graphic prints held in nice, matching places. Circle spectacled Toro leader Chaz Bundick is dressed like he’s got a top-ranking position position at American Apparel after the “New Standard” (a look the company described as “classy-vintage-chique-late 80′s-early 90′s-Ralph Lauren-Voguue-nautical-high end brand”) grooming administration succeeded strip-ease neon knits in stores. Remember that time we almost gave him a haircut at the bar? His band’s album Underneath the Pine will be released by Carpark a little while after Valentines Day. (Via P4k)
