James Pants has charmed us so heavy! "Alone", a destroyed-but-strong loose joint from the self titled album he's letting out via Stones Throw on almost 420 (April 19th), is the solid, fertile ground of the earth we're ready to drop-bags and join him on. That place maybe isn't the spacey mall lounge where he was before. The song stands on sick and tired black volcano dirt, throws a heavy wash of broken heart saxophone doo-womp, knifing guitar puddles and cold showers of mallet percussion. The latter might relieve temperamental Tyler The Creator, who's blushed as bad as us, telling the world how James Pants takes him to his "Happy Place." We're waiting politely on the future-perfect collaboration they'll cook together.
