Stream: Zodiacs, “Faraway Friend”

WE ARE SUPER BUSY THESE DAYS. As you probably also are. There is no time to do everything. Too much music and too many websites and, man, too many comment wormholes to fall into on Gawker. Plus real life shit like exercising and going to the store and talking to people on the street about the snow. That's why we have to thank Zodiacs, a total supergroup of Dee Dee (Dum Dum Girls), Jeremy Earl and Jarvis Taveniere (Woods), Mike Sniper (Blank Dogs) and JB Townsend (Crystal Stilts). If that means nothing to you, don't worry about it. You can enjoy the song on its own terms, especially the chorus, one of the catchier melodies any of these guys have ever done, which is saying something. "Faraway Friend" is from a 7-inch that you can basically get for free when you order more than ten bucks worth of stuff on the Captured Tracks website (not difficult), and apparently a full album will follow.
