It’s no real secret that Rivers Cuomo and co. are no longer in their ’90s wonder years of torn sweaters and giving awkward nerd-types hope of someday blossoming into rock stars. If you’ve been following Weezer and their questionable commercial endeavors recently — ahem Wuggie — you wont be too surprised to hear that they’ve written a jingle for State Farm Insurance. Once you play the track though, you’ll be shocked to hear a song that sounds way better than anything on Raditude, Hurley or basically any Weezer album from the past eight years. Rivers dude, seriously, all you need to do here is change the lyrics to a story of an unattainable teenage crush or being lonely in your room and you got a a certified Pinkerton-style hit! Watch the video after the jump if State Farm allows or catch it here.
