There’s a big room world and this flute sample floats around it. It has for years. Funkagenda and Mark Knight’s “Flauta Magica,” Steve Angello’s “Che Flute,” and least interestingly, maybe, Yolanda Be Cool’s original “Villalobos for Presidente.” No one gives it away immediately: Funkagenda takes nearly three minutes, Angello half-teases it at thirty seconds, Yolanda waits a minute. Enter our man: for Dubbel Dutch, it’s 14 seconds. Big room be damned, this busts bedrooms. It spices up showers. His remix isn’t super-new, but it has never been released, and it’s about time we busted such well-crafted toms, heh’s and huh’s out the YouTube grotto.
