It seems like Becoming Real has had one grand master plan for his music, slowly drawing out pings and blips with each new song. Occasionally he travels into darker territories and then re-emerges into full-blown weirdo pop territory. Now he’s back with the less dark, but extremely alien-sounding “Closer” and “Antarctic City,” which both come from a record he’s releasing on his all-new record label, the fittingly named Cold World Industries. Is this what happens when you play your kid Autechre in the womb? Get the record (also featuring a Jam City remix of “Closer”) right here.
