Presented on his own site without any comment, DJ Burn One's mixtape Joints, is a sort of self-selected production best of from the producer himself. Mixtapes like this might not be uncommon, but very few producers share the same archival instinct for their own work that he has. So not only does it work as a mission statement for blunted, bass heavy jams from the last year, but it's also a sort of best-of that is actually worth paying attention to.
