No, Ricardo Tisci of Givenchy isn't the first to do wild, overfed prints on silk. That would be the great Gianni Versace in his heyday. And then some months ago, Italian designers Leitmotiv brought back the look with some amazing versions for men. But Givenchy's use of printed silk made their fall collection, shown in Paris this weekend, one of the coolest to come from Europe. Padded bomber jackets, translucent shirts, even pencil skirts, were wallpapered with floral garlands and puma heads. And we lapped up every look, a shiny '90s explosion exactly right for 2011.
