For his Fall 2011 mens and womenswear collection, Peter Jensen referenced one of the muses of French New Wave cinema, Anna Karina. The collection is full of cerulean blues, poppy reds and winter whites on school girl dresses, fisherman-style cardigans and smart separates. We love the quiet despair and impending loneliness that these photos evoke —reminiscent of Karina's tragic turn as NaNa in Vivre Sa Vie. While these sentiments are kinda heavy for a lookbook, the simplicity of 60s style translates very well in Jensen's collection. Check the entire collection here, peep the trailer for Vivre Sa Vie here and watch this FADER TV we did with the Peter Jensen.
