Premiere: Pantha Du Prince, “A Nomad’s Retreat (The Sight Below Remix)” MP3

April 05, 2011

Seattle's The Sight Below released an album called Glider in 2008. Although he's ostensibly working within the realm of electronic music, there is literally zero doubt in our minds (and also the hive mind of Wikipedia) that he took the name from My Bloody Valentine's EP of the same name. It makes total sense, because this stuff is all about textures. It's also why his remix of Pantha Du Prince's already gorgeous "A Nomad's Retreat" works so well and is a definite standout from XI Versions of Black Noise, which features a bunch of different producers tackling Pantha's most recent record. Pantha Du Prince is embarking on a tour, hopefully he manages to fit some of these remixes in his set somehow—especially this one. Tour dates below the MP3.
