Does Lil Boosie Have an iPhone in Jail?

May 09, 2011

Last week, Lil Boosie's soul surfaced in the free world, via a mixtape of material stockpiled before he was indicted on first-degree murder charges last June. Now, a glimpse of Boosie's life in prison has emerged. A new pic, first posted to the OfficalLBoosie Twitter, shows Boosie wearing a small heap of gold jewelry in his cell. It appears Boosie shot the image, which circulated twitter over the weekend, himself. And it has the distinct high-res fuzz of a picture taken with an iPhone (now the most popular camera on Flickr). Perhaps a 3GS and not a 4, by our best-guess.

Boosie (born Torrence Hatch) has plead not guilty to all charges brought against him. Those include paying men to kill 35-year-old Terry Boyd, possessing and intending to sell ecstasy and codeine, and conspiring with his girlfriend, a prison guard and another inmate to smuggle pills and weed into the prison where he's held. The office of East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore III has not yet decided whether or not they'll pursue the death penalty in Boosie's murder case. Moore's office believe Boosie may have been involved in five more murder-for-hire slayings. Since incarceration, Boosie hasn't made payments on his Baton Rouge home. It's being foreclosed and will be sold at auction in June.
