Last night Odd Future’s performance at Detroit's Majestic Theater ended abruptly after glass bottles were thrown onstage from the audience. Watch a fan's footage of the entropy above. Some attendees report that Hodgy Beats assaulted an audience member following the set's abrupt conclusion. Odd Future's publicist Heathcliff Berru was onstage throughout the rumpus. He reports that the attack may have been instigated by a disheartened local performer:
Someone snuck glass bottles into the venue and threw 3 of them onstage. We heard it was a local rapper who was pissed that we didn't let him open the show. Odd Future doesn't ever want anyone to open their shows. Syd always gets the crowd ready.
A statement posted on the OF Tumblr assures everyone is okay, that it, "Sucks That One Guy Fucked It Up For All The Kids Who’ve Waited For So Long For The Gang To Come Out, Only To End So Quick." The boys and Syd will play three more shows on this North American tour, in DC, Baltimore and Philadelphia.
