D4L affiliate Jurrarri offers a single beacon in the sea of forgettable Brick Squad and Rick Ross knock offs. With “That Other Bitch” producer Jarred Lewis borrows the Lex Luger soundset, but his low end never breaks the way Luger would break it. Instead the track just freezes, leaving room for the decaying angel choir to hover and for Ju, YP and Nino to try their hand at ’08-’09 Gucci style girl raps but fall just short of his honest misogynist high points. But their unfocused shit talking does the trick on the ghostly beat. Ju’s similarly spacious and Aphex Twin tinged “Do It, Do It” from a few years back also comes highly recommended.
