To celebrate the annual Book Expo America conference, ArtBook/D.A.P. threw a delightful springtime party atop the Mondrian Soho hotel. The breezy evening climaxed with the debut performance of Hair Affair, a contemplation on the acrobatics and manipulation of hair in Vogue dance culture. The suite consists of four dance movements choreographed and composed by Rashaad Newsome, a performance and visual artist whose work has been featured in the Whitney Biennial, MoMA PS1′s Greater New York exhibition and the Venice Biennial.
