Stream: Unkown Mortal Orchestra’s Entire Album

June 15, 2011

Unknown Mortal Orchestra's self titled album will be out from Fat Possum on June 21st, but you can stream all nine of it's time-warped, dust, sweat and sunshine tracks now. On the record, prodigy drummer Julien Erhlich performs like he's Questlove. Or maybe just some punk kid, game to down a 12-pack, cannonball into the lake then come back and play an immaculate fill. Ruban Nielson's muffled vocals waft atop rich, collaged guitars—the effect is mellow and contenting, like the breeze that hits when you're on a bike, making you feel clean even when you've skipped a shower. The trio's on tour for most of the summer and perhaps indefinitely after that. July dates are below.
