Interview: Drake

STORY BY:

On Tuesday night, we were pleasantly surprised to bump into Drake. He was at Southpaw in Brooklyn, watching Zoe Kravitz’s band Elevator Fight. Evidently, he’s a fan. We talked about The Weeknd, singing and rapping. Then Drake told us that Take Care may be a concept record about kids driving the streets of Toronto. Not mad!

    Girl, I respect what you’re doing and it must have been a great honor to interview Drake but as a fellow journalist, I have to say, seriously… get the gum out your mouth or don’t be marathon chomping on it. Not professional or respectful.

    “‘Cause I don’t really know who I’m gonna lose this year”??? To what, tax evasion? Did Bernie Madoff make his way through Forest Hill, Toronto while you were growing up and become a close friend? Are you totally bumming on all the white collar crime arrests that’ve been going around?
