Video: Jhene Aiko, “Stranger”

July 11, 2011

Jhene Aiko’s Sailing Soul(s) mixtape was released in March, and now bears its first video fruit. It's a salty, beach-washed take—directed by Top Shelf Junior and edited by Bryant Robinson—on "Stranger," the brittle, Fisticuffs-produced mantra Aiko penned for herself (I've said yes, meaning no but oh/ A lot of shit has changed). There are plenty more images of Aiko in motion—plus pictures of her equally gorgeous daughter Nami, Pocahontas and yoga-inspired inspirational tomes—living at her Tumblr. You can read more about the breathy, honest brand of R&B she's busy crafting in her FADER #74 Gen F profile.
