Shlohmo’s take on “Marvin’s Room” really underscores the existential crisis spelled out in Drake’s original. The sound is much more echoing and empty, the beats clangy and thin like some old machinery. Drake’s already bare-bones monologue seems more spare and self-scrutinizing. Shlohmo knows that, for Drake, there’s something mechanical in his having sex four times in a week.

the D33J remix is great as well. damn wedidit collective.
