Video: The Coathangers, “Trailer Park Boneyard”

September 02, 2011

Has there ever been a trailer park on TV or in movies that is not a bummer? Let us know, because we can't think of one. Here, The Coathangers, along with director Mike Moore, don't do a whole lot to elevate the status of the dusty lot that these things sit in, but they do make a serious jam built on fractured guitars and yelped vocals about waiting for someone that never shows up and how there's no escape because I'm always nowhere, which is a pretty accurate depiction of what it is like to live in a home that can move around but never really does. The Coathangers are going on a brief tour starting September 6th. None of the venues they are playing are in trailer parks.

Tour dates:
Sep. 06 - Atlanta, GA - The Earl*
Sep. 07 - Tampa, Fl - Crowbar*
Sep. 08 - Gainesville, FL - Boca Fiesta*
Sep. 09 - Miami, FL - The Stage*
Sep. 10 - Orlando, FL - Wills Pub*
* w/ Hunx & His Punx
