Quilt are from Boston and they sound appropriately collegiate, like they learned all their harmonizing from the Harvard a cappella group. It’s funny that this was posted on Altered Zones, because it sounds like the Mamas and Papas. Is that how topsy turvy music has become: insane Eurotrance rap made by Pitbull is commonplace and simple folk rock is for the margins? It’s not a complaint (break and/or bring down the walls! depending on personal preference!), but a wide-eyed observation. But someone has to be the antidote to too much Dr. Luke. Quilt are signed to Mexican Summer, and their self-titled debut will be out November 7th.
