Shot in the Dark: Enter FADER’s First Photo Contest

October 19, 2011

We love words, they're awesome, but our world wouldn't be as sweet without photographs. FADER #76, the annual Photo Issue, is our love letter to the snapshot, to cameras and the men and women who wield them. We fit a healthy array of pictures into the magazine—of Zola Jesus at home in LA, Real Estate hugging old friends, ASAP Rocky in Harlem and Jim Korpi's America, among others—but we want to see yours, too! What's your best snapshot? Sift through your throwaways and find us a shot you love. Doesn't matter if you took it on your phone, fancy SLR or point-and-shoot. Whatever you carry! Then, post your photo to our Facebook wall. We'll collect entries in an album, then announce our favorites on Thursday, November 10th, when our photo editor John Francis Peters will size up the submissions. One winner will receive a FADER subscription and a gallery of their photos published on our Facebook. Two runners up will win a couple year's worth of previous FADER Photo Issues.
