Brooklyn Bound: Zola Jesus Interview At 4th State Metals

October 26, 2011

There's a great American tradition of New York being a welcoming port and FADER teamed up with Converse's new Rubber Tracks studio in Brooklyn to further it. Once a month, we'll be welcoming touring artists to the neighborhood with a visit to a local Brooklyn institution, as well as making time for an intimate performance. Catch that exclusive show, interview and MP3s right here.

Before Zola Jesus filled Converse's Rubber Tracks studio with mellifluous jams, we wandered around Williamsburg's 4th State Metals with Nika Danilova and 4th State co-owner Isaac Sprachman. While Sprachman detailed the wealth of projects 4th State undertakes, Danilova spoke adoringly of her own blue collar upbringing and of channeling the inescapable energy of a metal working shop. She also wore a really fly gray leather jacket. Check back shortly for an exclusive MP3 from the performance!
