Stream: Bronze, “Wits”

October 27, 2011

Bronze‘s "Wits" is disorienting and somewhat difficult, mostly because there's no real guidepost to point toward. The vocals are monotone, the drums falter, and the synths sound almost broken, except they build and layer to the point of constant chaos. This feels like music made by people who have never heard other music, but have been told a lot about what it means to make a song. It's cold but it's got heart, it's weird but it's listenable, there's a lot here, but it still feels minimal. Bronze's Copper is out right now on RVNG.
