Video: King Krule, “The Noose of Jah City”

November 14, 2011

Jamie-James Medina—traveling photographer/filmmaker and chronicler of The XX—directed King Krule’s "The Noose of Jah City," shot at the lip of a reservoir near Archy Marshall's east London home. Atop the overlook, Magenta flare smoke backlights Marshall's pallor. Hanging out somewhere high up and not doing much is routine teenage fare, but tossed beers and friends are noticeably absent while Marshall sings, They saw me fall from here/ But not hit the ground. Towards the end, Medina captures more eye contact than you'd expect. King Krule's EP is now purchasable via True Panther.
