Boffo's Building Fashion initiative is redefining the retail landscape, pairing fashion designers and architecture firms to collaborate on pop-up shops. The latest installation finds lingerie brand The Lake & Stars and NYC-based design firm SOFTlab creating an intergalactic peep-show. On the eve of the opening, Michael Szivos of SOFTlab walked us through the concept and logistics of the space and the TL&S designers Maayan Zilberman and Nikki Dekker showed us some of the intimates for sale. Masters of lace and tongue-in-cheek bedroom humor, Zilberman and Dekker delivered a collection designed for the occasion, including their custom Nike Air Force Ones, and their popular bottom-less tights. Also for sale, priestess-blessed voodoo candles and an accompanying love spell.
