A Kind of Guise Makes Bags Out of 19th Century Rugs

After we saw Tim Coppensbomber jacket made from a frayed oriental carpet, we knew there were better places than the floor for our old rugs. A likeminded obsession with classic carpeting led the designers from German brand A Kind of Guise to buy 50 or so rugs while traveling the Persian Gulf on vacation, and turn them into almost 100 satchels. Called The Kilim Project, each bag is handmade and one of a kind.
