AllHipHop.com reports that Sharon, PA songwriter, Max Gregory Warren is suing Wiz Khalifa, producer Stargate and Rostrum Records, claiming that the concept for Khalifa's hit "Black and Yellow" was plagiarized from Warren's song "Pink n Yellow." Warren wrote the song in November 2007 and copyrighted it in February 2008. He claims that in between that time, Khalifa, et al. heard and subsequently poached the idea. On December 30th, Warren filed suit for fraud and deceit, copyright infringement, civil conspiracy and unjust enrichment with the United States District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania for $2.375M in punitive and actual damages. A medium-heavy Google search for Warren and the song only reveals reports about the suit, so it's difficult to report on any similarities between the two tracks. You can find copies of the papers Warren filed here.

Update: We tracked down "Pink n Yellow" on YouTube. Take a listen.
